Your driver meets you at SXR (the same service as our Srinagar airport taxi). Check in to the houseboat, then a one-hour shikara on Dal Lake before sunset. Dinner and the night on the houseboat.
Leave after breakfast. In winter we stop at Tangmarg to fit chains. Afternoon in the meadow: St Mary's Church, a walk across the bowl, sledging when there is snow (sledges and ponies are paid locally). Dinner and the night at a 3-star hotel in Gulmarg.
The earliest Gondola slot you could book: Phase 1 to Kongdori, then Phase 2 to Apharwat if it is running and you want the height (tickets extra). Back down by early afternoon and drive to Srinagar. Dinner and the night at a 3-star hotel.
Airport drop with a buffer. Winter security queues at SXR are slow, so we leave early. Late flight? A Mughal garden or Shankaracharya on the way.
Phase 1 runs from the Gulmarg base to Kongdori. That is where most families stop: snow play in winter, pine views in summer. Phase 2 continues from Kongdori to Apharwat. In winter it is the skiers' lift; in summer it is cold, rocky and clear on a good morning.

No. Gondola tickets for Phase 1 and Phase 2 are sold by the J&K Cable Car Corporation and are extra, and so are pony rides. Once your dates are fixed we tell you when to book and which slot to take.
Add ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 per person from April to June, over Christmas and New Year, and in January and February, when Gulmarg is in snow season. The exact figure depends on your dates and the hotels free that week.

December to March is the snow season, and January and February are the surest. Snow is never guaranteed, even in December. From May to September Gulmarg is green meadow; Phase 2 can still hold old snow into early summer.
Usually yes, with snow chains hired and fitted at Tangmarg. After heavy snowfall the police can allow only 4x4 vehicles above Tangmarg; then you switch to a local union 4x4 for that stretch. Chains and the union 4x4 are not part of the package price.
