The regular air path is Lucknow to Delhi to Srinagar. If a nonstop LKO–SXR is on sale in your week, take the morning one and tell us the landing time. Otherwise do not wait all day in Lucknow for a flight that is not filed. By train, Lucknow to Jammu Tawi is a long overnight, then a private car on NH44. Use that only if you already wanted Jammu.
A clean LKO–DEL–SXR morning can put you on Dal Lake by late afternoon. A late connection means the houseboat and nothing else. Gulmarg is never the arrival day unless you landed before noon, which a Lucknow routing rarely does.
Five days if you hold a morning connection: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam overnight, Srinagar, fly. Add a night when the return to Lucknow also needs Delhi and you refuse a midnight LKO landing.
