Most guests land at Srinagar airport. Delhi to Srinagar is a short flight, about an hour and a half when the schedule holds. Other cities often connect through Delhi. Fog and snow delay winter landings. Do not plan a Gulmarg check-in on the arrival afternoon.
Airport pickup is a private car, not a shared coach. If you only need that ride, use the Srinagar airport taxi.
Trains now reach the valley on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla line. Check the current timetable before you lock hotels, because a rail arrival can still be late. The road alternative is Jammu, then NH44 to Srinagar in daylight. We do not quote a night departure on that highway.
