Gurez riverside camping means the tent is beside the Kishenganga, in or just by Dawar, not a generic “camp in the mountains” an hour off the river. If you want a bed and a door, use the Gurez valley trip instead. This page is the tent.
You sleep in a tent near the water, with a simple meal from the camp kitchen. It is colder at night than Srinagar, even in July. Bring a warm layer. There is no luxury hotel version of this. Bathrooms are camp bathrooms. If that is not the night you want, say so and we book the guesthouse.
Razdan Pass, between Bandipora and Gurez, is a summer and early autumn road. We check it the week you want to go. A camp booking without a pass is just a Srinagar hotel. Leave Srinagar in the morning. The climb is the day’s work. Two nights at the river are enough to see it. One night is mostly driving.
The room is quieter if you want walls and a proper bed. The tent is the one on the bank. The car is the same private drive from Srinagar, described on cab service in Kashmir. We do not put a couple in a shared jeep unless you ask for that.
The camps we use sit by the Kishenganga around Dawar, not on a dry ridge an hour from the water. If a site moves back from the bank because of the river level, we say so before you leave Srinagar.

Indian guests travel with a government photo ID. Foreign guests need a Protected Area Permit, which takes time. Tell us your nationality before we hold dates. We confirm the rule in force that month.
