Gurez is the Kishenganga valley north of Bandipora. The road crosses Razdan Pass. For two people who have already done Gulmarg and Pahalgam, it is the quiet add-on. It is a poor swap for a first honeymoon. A harder, longer road in the other direction is Warwan.
Srinagar to Bandipora is the easy half. After Bandipora the road climbs to Razdan. Cloud on the pass is a reason to wait or turn back, not a reason to push. The drop into Gurez opens onto Dawar, the main town, with the river below the ridge. Leave Srinagar in the morning. A late start means a dark arrival, and the pass is not where you want headlights only.

A guesthouse or a small hotel in Dawar. We ask about the hot water and the extra blanket before we confirm. It is a comfortable simple room, not a luxury dak. Two nights let you walk the river and look toward Habba Khatoon without spending both days in the car. One night is mostly the pass.
If you specifically want a tent, that is camping in Gurez. We do not turn this trip into a camp unless you say so. Signal is uneven. Download what you need in Srinagar.
After Srinagar, not before. Use the first nights to land, see the lake, and decide you still want the pass. Then two nights Dawar, then back to Srinagar for the flight. Do not put Gurez, Gulmarg and Pahalgam into a five-day honeymoon. Something gets cut, and it should not be the pass road at dusk.
The month for the rest of the valley is on best time to visit Kashmir. Razdan itself follows the snow, not the tulip calendar.

Razdan is a summer and early autumn pass. Snow closes it. We check the week you want to travel. We do not put Gurez on a December honeymoon.
Indian guests travel with a government photo ID. Foreign guests need a Protected Area Permit, and that takes time, so tell us your nationality before we hold dates. Rules can change. We confirm them for your trip rather than guessing on this page.
No. This is a room in Dawar and a private car. Tents are the separate camping in Gurez page, and only if you ask for them.
