Vizag (VTZ) is a long east-coast departure, closer in effort to Bhubaneswar than to Hyderabad. If you can start at Hyderabad airport instead, read Hyderabad to Kashmir. Otherwise stay on this page.
The practical tickets are Vizag to Hyderabad and then on toward Srinagar, or Vizag to Delhi to Srinagar. A single nonstop VTZ–SXR is not the plan. Hyderabad is only a help if that city has a cleaner onward flight that week. Two stops in one day are common.
Assume you travel all day and sleep in Srinagar, or that you sleep in Hyderabad or Delhi and fly to Srinagar in the morning. Both are honest. A same-day Gulmarg plan is not.
