As of October 2026, IndiGo lists a nonstop Kolkata–Srinagar flight in some schedules, but the operating days and timings differ between sources. Check the live schedule on the airline site when you book. If there is no nonstop on your date, the usual plan is a morning flight to Delhi and a connection to Srinagar, which adds a few hours.
Some guests prefer the train to Jammu Tawi, a long journey of well over a day, and then the road or train up to Srinagar. If you come this way, add a day at each end. For a honeymoon from Kolkata we change three things: the first night is on a houseboat with a Shikara at sunset, Pahalgam becomes an overnight stay by the Lidder instead of a day trip, and the Gulmarg day starts early to get ahead of the gondola queue. October, around Durga Puja, is one of the best times: clear skies, cool nights and the chinars turning red and gold. It is also a busy holiday window, so book early.
