From Chandigarh airport (IXC), look for a nonstop to Srinagar on your dates. When it is not on sale, the ticket is Chandigarh to Delhi to Srinagar. The road alternative is Chandigarh to Jammu, then NH44 with our Jammu to Srinagar taxi. That road day is long. It suits people who dislike the Delhi connection, not people who want to save time.
A true IXC–SXR nonstop is a morning and you can still see Srinagar that evening. Via Delhi, assume you land late and the meadows wait until tomorrow. The highway version needs a daylight start from Jammu because the Banihal stretch is slow after dark.
