Direct answer: Yes, you can see Achabal, Kokernag and Verinag in one full day from Srinagar. All three are spring-fed gardens in Anantnag district, south of Srinagar. By the Anantnag district figures, Achabal is about 58 km from Srinagar and Kokernag about 76 km, and Verinag is about 85 km from Srinagar airport. Most of the day is on the road, so leave early. Achabal. A terraced Mughal garden where a spring gushes out of the Sonsanwar hill and runs through the garden in three channels with fountains. The district page calls it perhaps the most beautiful of the springs. It is the closest of the three to Srinagar.
Kokernag. A spring at the foot of a pine-covered hill, with a terraced garden, a botanical garden, chinars and a trout farm on the west side of the garden (the district page calls it Asia's biggest trout rearing farm). It is also the road towards Daksum, which is the way into Warwan Valley; Warwan itself is not a day trip.
Verinag. A deep blue spring rising at the foot of a mountain spur, ringed by an octagonal stone tank that Emperor Jahangir had built, with a garden around it. It is in Shahabad Bala tehsil, on the road towards Jammu, and is traditionally known as the source of the Jhelum.

We leave Srinagar early and drive south on the highway past the Pampore saffron fields (see saffron shopping in Pampore). Achabal comes first, then Kokernag, then Verinag, which is the furthest, and we come back to Srinagar in the evening. If you are short on time, drop Verinag and do Achabal and Kokernag only.
