There is no useful nonstop from Guwahati (GAU) to Srinagar. The Northeast departure needs a longer valley stay than a Delhi weekend. See Kashmir tour packages for the stay themes.
The workable ticket is Guwahati to Delhi, then Delhi to Srinagar. Delhi–Srinagar is about an hour and a half once you are on that aircraft. Guwahati–Delhi itself is a long domestic leg, so the connection eats the afternoon. A routing via Kolkata exists on some days and is slower. Rail from Assam to Jammu is not a plan we put a couple on.
Treat it as a travel day with no sightseeing. If the GAU–DEL leg is late, the last DEL–SXR may already have gone, and you sleep in Delhi. We do not schedule Pahalgam or Gulmarg until the next morning in Srinagar. Six nights on the ground is more honest than five.
Arrive, sleep in Srinagar, then Gulmarg, then two nights in Pahalgam, then a Srinagar day before the long flight home. Dropping a valley to save one night is how Guwahati groups spend the holiday in airports.
GAU to DEL to SXR. Pickup at the airport. Houseboat or hotel. No meadow.
Leave Srinagar early via Tangmarg. Return to Srinagar.
The drive is the day. Sleep by the Lidder so Betaab is a morning, not a same-day dash back.
A slow day. Shikara if you want the lake. Do not start Sonmarg if you fly the next morning.
A morning in Srinagar, afternoon flight. The return also connects, so do not take the last SXR–DEL if you still need GAU the same night.
Not on a normal day. Budget a Delhi connection, and a spare night if that connection fails.
It is tight. Two of those days are mostly airports. Six days on the ground is the version that still includes Gulmarg and Pahalgam.
The first Srinagar night is the adjustment. You do not need a rest day in a clinic sense. You do need to not drive to Gulmarg after a midnight landing.
