When guests ask us about resorts in Srinagar Kashmir, we point them at what we actually filmed. On 27 August 2026 we posted the red-brick building with the pointed tower and the line Europe mein nahi… Kashmir mein hai. Same facade, stone path, lawn and mountains behind it. Three days earlier we had already filmed that hotel near Srinagar that does not feel like a hotel, with mountain views and a night shot of the tower. On 23 August we tagged the stay as @kolahoigreenhotelresorts.
Watch the opening reel on our Instagram: Europe mein nahi… Kashmir mein hai, red-brick tower property, 27 Aug 2026.
Below is what those three reels show, how a resort stay differs from a city hotel or a houseboat, and what we ask before we book heating, Dal distance and airport transfers for October and November nights. For this property's room rate on your dates, message us on WhatsApp for current rates.

What our three August reels show
27 August: Europe mein nahi… Kashmir mein hai
The 27 Aug reel (about 75,000 views) opens on the red-brick facade: steep gables, light wood window frames, a square tower with a tall black spire, flower pots along the stone walk, and hills behind the lawn. On-screen text asks Kya aapko pata hai. Our caption pitches handpicked stays, private transport and full trip planning, and asks guests to DM Kashmir for rates and availability. Place on the post: Srinagar, same red-brick property.
We use that reel when someone wants a stay that does not look like a Boulevard strip hotel, but still sits on the Srinagar side for day trips into town.
22 August: a hotel near Srinagar that does not feel like a hotel
The 22 Aug reel (about 26,000 views) is the POV cut: mountain views, peaceful surroundings, and wait for night view on the same red-brick tower. Caption: send this to someone you'd want to stay here with; we will help book the package with these kinds of stays. Place tagged near Srinagar. That is the honest line we use at the desk too. It is close enough for Srinagar sightseeing, far enough that evenings feel quieter than Dalgate.

23 August: presenting @kolahoigreenhotelresorts
On 23 Aug we posted the same tower lit at dusk, warm light in the windows, lawn in the foreground, mountains still behind it. Caption in full: Presenting you the @kolahoigreenhotelresorts. Place: Srinagar, tags that handle.
We credit the Instagram handle as tagged. The shoot was at Kolahoi, Srinagar. Tell us your dates on WhatsApp and we will check availability and current rates.
Resort vs hotel vs houseboat
When someone searches resorts in Srinagar Kashmir, they often mean any stay that feels quieter than a city hotel. We split it three ways:
- Resort-style stay (like the red-brick tower in our reels): grounds, mountain views, evenings that do not sit on Boulevard traffic. Best when the brief is privacy and photos, with Srinagar days still doable.
- City hotel near Dal: shorter walk or drive to shikaras, bakeries and Lal Chowk. We covered Boulevard, Dalgate and The Lalit in our hotels near Dal Lake Srinagar post.
- Cottage or cabin: more outdoor space and a garden fire some evenings. See our cottages in Srinagar guide for the A-frame and blue-cabin reels.
- Heritage houseboat: the classic Dal night. Message us on WhatsApp for current rates. Useful if a shikara morning is the main reason for the trip.

Plenty of guests mix resort nights with one houseboat night and a city-hotel night. We build that around who is travelling. For a fuller luxury itinerary, see our Kashmir luxury tour package.
What to ask before you book (heating, Dal, airport)
Three checks we run before money moves, especially from mid-October:
- Heating and hot water. Srinagar nights drop fast in Oct and Nov. Ask whether the room has a bukhari, central heating or only a portable heater, how many hours of hot water you get, and whether the property runs on backup power when the grid flickers. Same questions we ask for cottages and houseboats.
- Distance to Dal and Lal Chowk. Our 22 Aug caption says near Srinagar and that you do not expect this ambience this close to the city. It does not give kilometres. We confirm drive time to Dal Gate, Nishat and the old city for your dates once we lock the property.
- Airport transfer. Srinagar airport to a near-Srinagar resort is a different drop from Boulevard. Tell us your flight time and luggage. Our private cabs include tolls and parking in the quoted fare; hotel parking charges, if any, we confirm when we book.

For the wider city map, use our Srinagar travel guide and the downtown Srinagar hometown guide. For stay + cab + meals, start with the Kashmir trip cost budget guide.
What moves the price (2026)
What usually moves the quote: season, room category, meal plan, and mountain-facing rooms. Instagram "DM for rates" lines are not a published tariff. WhatsApp us your dates for the real number with the property name confirmed.
How we'd choose for you
- Want the Europe mein nahi look from our reels: the red-brick pointed-tower stay tagged @kolahoigreenhotelresorts; at Kolahoi, Srinagar; message us on WhatsApp for current rates.
- Want lake postcard nights: Boulevard or a carefully picked Dal-side hotel; see the Dal hotels post linked above.
- Want trees and a cabin feel: the A-frame / cottage options in our cottages post.
- Want one night on the water: heritage houseboat, then move to a resort or city hotel for easier heating and parking.
- First trip, mixed group: two bases often beat one: resort evenings plus a Dal morning.
FAQ
Are there resorts in Srinagar Kashmir or only hotels?
Both. City hotels sit closer to Dal and Lal Chowk. Resort-style properties sit a little outside the busiest streets, with grounds and quieter evenings. Our August reels show one of those near-Srinagar stays.
Is the red-brick tower in your reels Kolahoi Green?
Our 23 Aug reel tags @kolahoigreenhotelresorts on that building. The shoot was at Kolahoi, Srinagar. Message us on WhatsApp for current rates and availability on your dates.
Can I book a Srinagar resort on a budget?
Yes, we have options across budgets. Mountain-view rooms in peak weeks sit higher. Message us on WhatsApp for current rates. Send dates on WhatsApp for a short list.
Should I stay in a resort or a houseboat?
Resort if you want lawns, parking and easier winter heating. Houseboat if a Dal Lake night is the point of the trip. Many guests do one of each.
