There are three ways in. Flying to Srinagar is fastest from most cities. The Vande Bharat train now runs from Jammu Tawi and Katra to Srinagar over the Chenab bridge, about five hours from Jammu. The road via the Jammu Srinagar highway still works, but it takes most of a day.
By flight
Srinagar airport has direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and several other cities, plus connections from the rest of India. Fares move every day, so we do not print them; check the airline sites or WhatsApp us for help with timing. By train: Vande Bharat and the Chenab bridge
The Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link opened to trains in June 2025, and from 2 May 2026 the Vande Bharat runs all the way from Jammu Tawi, according to the Ministry of Railways (PIB).

By road
Jammu to Srinagar is a long day on the highway through the Banihal tunnels. In winter the road can close for snow or slides, so we check it the night before. Does the train go directly from Delhi to Srinagar?
Not as one Vande Bharat. Go to Jammu Tawi or Katra first and change there. Check IRCTC for any new through trains.
Is the Jammu Srinagar road open in winter?
Mostly, but snow can close it for a day. Ask us the night before.
